Dr. Parmenter Received an APF Springfield Research Grant for LGBTQ+ BIPOC Intersectionality Research

Dr. Parmenter’s research was funded by a Springfield Research Grant through the American Psychological Foundation. The grant will fund a study examining the effects of a new measure of intersectional resilience on the mental health of sexual and gender diverse Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (SGD-BIPOC). We will further explore how intersectional resilience may mitigate the effects of minority stress on mental health for SGD-BIPOC. Findings have important implications for research, clinical practice, and ways to enact transformative change to liberate SGD-BIPOC. For more information please visit the following link.
