Tiara Watson Successfully Proposed her Dissertation!

Tiara Watson, M.S. successfully passed her dissertation proposal! Her dissertation is titled, “Plastic Off the Sofa”: An Exploration of Graduate Student Clinicians’ Perceptions of Clinical Training Experiences and Their Preparation to Work with Black Clients. Tiara’s dissertation may provide insight into experiences and potential challenges to student clinicians’ awareness and embodiment of cultural humility when working with Black clients experiencing racial trauma. Tiara’s dissertation research has strong implications for improving clinical training programs and providing culturally humble and affirming practices with Black clients experiencing racial trauma. Drs. Joshua Parmenter and Kaleea Lewis served as co-chairs for Tiara’s project and are SO proud of her accomplishments! Congratulations, Tiara!!!
